Still, the entry was very interesting and at least didn't waste my time reading it!buy generic viagrahttp://www.iservepharmacy.com/generic-viagra.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-578997264816756307.post-29889967182116804122011-03-29T11:05:15.427-04:002011-03-29T11:05:15.427-04:00This is indeed a must see film, the performances a...This is indeed a must see film, the performances and the plot of the film is very interesting.viagra without prescriptionhttp://www.xlpharmacy.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-578997264816756307.post-50015211332974481142010-03-29T21:23:40.293-04:002010-03-29T21:23:40.293-04:00We all seem to be in agreement on this one - an ab...We all seem to be in agreement on this one - an absolute must-see for anyone remotely interested in noir!

M.Roca - I have this release: http://www.amazon.com/Big-Combo-Richard-Conte/dp/B000B7QCT0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1269912164&sr=1-2

It can be had for under $3... it's not a great DVD release by any means, but certainly worth picking up at that price. I'm happy with it until something better _and_ affordable/reasonable comes along (which it probably never will).Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07134196370913749544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-578997264816756307.post-56379511261012861902010-03-29T07:37:04.316-04:002010-03-29T07:37:04.316-04:00Dave, another great film, but at this point in you...Dave, another great film, but at this point in your survey that is all there should (lol). This one is up there in my pantheon. The direction, the cinematography, the lighting, the score, the cast, the unsavory characters, the sexual innuendo all contribute to making this a classic noir. I believe this film was a big influence on Tarantino (Conte’s Mr. Brown for starters and not just for the name).Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01808503055317962289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-578997264816756307.post-72133813265351469062010-03-29T01:15:39.396-04:002010-03-29T01:15:39.396-04:00Ah I consider this part of my personal Alton noir ...Ah I consider this part of my personal Alton noir trilogy....along with Raw Deal and He Walked By Night. All three are incredible examples of wonderful noir cinematography. I usually try to do a triple feature and watch them all at once. I have never seen Hollow Triumph and I happen to prefer He Walked By Night over T-Men. This though is Alton's zenith and pinnacle. This movie oozes noir and shows with the right talent a B picture could be just as great and well made as any A. While the other two films I own on DVD and look great, this one I have on VHS copied from cable. I see the IMAGE version is available on Amazon for about $30. I was wondering if anyone had a copy and could comment on it's transfer quality. I also wonder why this film doesn't have a better reputation outside of noir circles. It is a great film regardless of genre. Dave your questioning of rank is understandable, there are just so many wonderful noirs that it gets hard to set specific placements.......M.RocaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-578997264816756307.post-20821155629942871832010-03-29T00:18:24.361-04:002010-03-29T00:18:24.361-04:00Yes, this is indeed another quality choice of a fi...Yes, this is indeed another quality choice of a film that oddly has never received a top-rank DVD release. The terrific cast, the noir feel of the film, the engrossing narrative arc, John Alton's superlative cinematography and David Raskin's score all add up to a big genre winner, and you again have assigned it with a magnificent essay.Sam Julianonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-578997264816756307.post-77670487080127957362010-03-29T00:16:47.649-04:002010-03-29T00:16:47.649-04:00I can agree with you on everything.
